National Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2017

Got2bGina-Sporting-Pink-300x225October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Imagine this scenario—then ask yourself a simple question…  You are enjoying a girl’s night out with eight ladies who are your family members or perhaps friends from high school or college, and one of them ask for the groups attention.  She tearfully tells the group that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and needs their friendship and support more than ever.  Everyone’s high-spirited emotions suddenly changed.  According to “About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.”

Are you committed to supporting the cure of breast cancer?

The fight is still on, and we must continue to hope and believe that we can win.  Read “U.S. Breast Cancer Statistics” posted on and share it with your mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, colleagues, friends, and neighbors.  Be strong—wear pink—educate others, and most important, make a commitment to support the cure for breast cancer.

Yes, ladies…keeping the girls in check is nothing to play around with. I happen to have a sister that is a breast cancer survivor and I make it a point to have a 3 D exam every year. Everything is fine, but out of curiosity, I just had a conversation with my doctor’s office about common factors that may cause breast tissues to become more dense which makes it harder to detect if cancer related problems exists, early on. 1. Peanut butter 2. Tea 3. Chocolate 4. Caffeine in general. That being said, I have just added herbal tea to my shopping list.
